This sheet informs families about the importance of learning through play. How open-ended learning which is planned to the children's interests and strengths, encourages creativity, builds on children's existing knowledge, and supports intentional teaching.

Families of children still settling into the kinder environment may find this information sheet handy. It provides suggestions of things to support your child with separation, ideas of strategies to use when you drop your child off, and after you pick them up. There are also suggestions on how to build positive dispositions to kindergarten.

One of our Preschool Field Officers, provided us with a link to an online program for families with anxious or shy children. I have attached it for any families or friends of families that may be interested in gain support. I have not accessed the program myself but our Field Officer spoke very highly of it.
